Experience Ards Tours
About Experience Ards
Experience Ards is a series of guided tours organised by Ards Borough Council to help you explore Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula. The Ards, as it is known locally, is just ten miles from Belfast and is an area of outstanding scenic beauty with rich heritage, history and culture. The popular programme includes walking, coach and boat tours escorted by experienced guides.
You can take a boat trip on Strangford Lough from Portaferry, visit the Copeland Island Bird Observatory from picturesque Donaghadee harbour or experience the historic sites of Newtownards, Comber and Donaghadee on one of our regular walking tours. The coach tours include visits to stately homes, Christian heritage sites and famous gardens of the Peninsula. You can also discover the rich Ulster Scots heritage of the area, explore the art and craft studios for which the Ards Peninsula is renowned or have fun on a Hallowe'en Ghost tour or a murder mystery evening.
