Events get under way around 11am with up to 50 pipe bands and an equal number of drum majors competing in the
various contest grades. The fun filled day with side shows will continue all afternoon until the
grand finale at approximately 5 30pm. After the contesting is completed all bands will provide
a colourful spectacle for all our visitors as bands parade onto the arena with the Mayor of Ards
taking the salute. This is followed by the prize giving ceremony.
