Pack a picnic at home and off you go. Arrive in Ards and head up the Old Belfast Road to Kiltonga Nature Reserve for a stroll round this 0.6km trail and don’t forget some bread to feed the ducks on your way and keep the kids amused.
Now head up to up to Scrabo Tower, park over looking the Lough and enjoy the wonderful view while tucking into your picnic. Once finished walk off you lunch by exploring Killynether Forest looking for butterflies, pine cones or conckers before climbing the hill to the tower and then the122 steps to the top for the breath taking views - ALL FREE.
