Take the Ferry!
Have an adventure in Portaferry. Visit the Tourist Information and Visitor Centre and the Loft Gallery as well as exploring the ruins of Portaferry Castle. Pay a visit to the windmill stump with outstanding views of the Lough and the Narrows and observe the ferry, your next port of call. As you travel on the ferry be sure to watch out for jellyfish and other wildlife from your higher vantage point.
After exploring Strangford, or even venturing as far as Castle Ward and taking a tour of the property, enjoying the kids playpark or trying out the activitiy trails, why not have a bite to eat? On your return to the Portaferry visit Exploris Northern Ireland's only aquarium and spend the afternoon learning about our shores and coastline and getting up close and personal with its inhabitants at the discovery pool.
11am Arrive in Portaferry & explore this quaint little village
12.45pm Get the Ferry to Strangford and have a wander and a bite to eat, or extend your visit to Castle Ward
